1XCEL, a subsidiary of Oakley, made eye shields for hockey and football helmets, goggles and sunglasses.

Gath Design was tasked with creating the graphic voice of the brand from logo to product application to packaging and print materials.

IDENTITY DESIGN

1XCEL, an action sports brand for those who demand protection in high-impact sports, needed a bold voice that reflected their users. Custom block lettering paired with a bright yellow against contrasting black set the tone for a brand that made no apologies for standing out.

PACKAGING DESIGN

The packaging design for 1XCEL needed to stand out on the shelf and the design took that into consideration – and more. Bold graphics along with custom boxes were designed to make sure the brand was heard.
